A Front of Big Windows over a Mezzanine
The Ishihara Shoten Store is a two-storey timber shop with a gabled pantiled roof, standing next door to the north of the Maedaen head shop (Agency for Cultural Affairs). Below a wide window on the upper front a row of small mezzanine windows sits under its own canopy, and with the ground-floor eaves this gives the front three tiers.
Inside, the shop space is partly open to the floor above, and the upper floor has tatami rooms (Agency for Cultural Affairs).
