The roof frame uses Nobori-bari sloping beams, carrying a sheet-metal Okiyane roof, and the walls are finished in Shikkui lime plaster. The construction matches the other storehouses; only the scale is different, and in the riverside row that bulk is what you notice.
Its construction date also places it 23 years before the great Furukawa fire of 1904.
