Sanda Gakuen

Sanda Gakuen (三田学園) in Minamigaoka, Sanda City, Hyogo Prefecture, is a school whose junior high school main building of 1912 and 25th anniversary library of 1937 were registered as Registered Tangible Cultural Properties on September 2, 1998 (Agency for Cultural Affairs). The Two Buildings

The main building, designed by the office of Aihara Hyojiro in Kobe, is a two-storey clapboard school in the Stick style with a segmental pediment over its central entrance and wings at both ends, said to be modelled on an English public school. The library on the hill to the north, designed by Oshio Akira, is in the Spanish style, with Spanish-tiled roofs, a triple dormer and a towered stack wing (Agency for Cultural Affairs). Each is described on its own page.
