A Farm Cooperative Storehouse in Nahari
The Onishi Family Residence Storehouse (大西家住宅蔵) is a two-storey storehouse built in 1938 in Nahari Town, Aki District, Kochi Prefecture, which in 2000 was registered as a Registered Tangible Cultural Property.
The Agency for Cultural Affairs records an earthen-walled tiled building of 88 square metres, owned by Nahari Supermarket and registered as a structure not easily reproduced.
The Agency notes that it was built by the predecessor of the Nahari agricultural cooperative.
Structure
According to the Agency, it is five bays by three, gabled, pantiled and entered on the long side, with a lean-to one and a half bays deep on the south.
The west gable facing the road has clapboard at the base, drip tiles to either side of an iron-shuttered window above, and eaves plastered right out to the verge.
