Tokajuku
Tokajuku (桃花塾) is a social welfare facility on the hills of Kishi, Tondabayashi City, Osaka Prefecture, whose main building and classroom building, both of 1933, were registered as Registered Tangible Cultural Properties on April 28, 2009 (Agency for Cultural Affairs).
The Agency describes the main building as a simple, well-made welfare facility in harmony with its green surroundings.
The Two Buildings
The main building faces south on a gentle slope: a two-storey timber building with research rooms, a library and offices below, an assembly hall and worship room above, and a central entrance porch (Agency for Cultural Affairs).
The classroom building stands a little lower to the east: a single-storey timber wing with three classrooms and toilets along a west corridor, made bright and open by glass doors in every bay (Agency for Cultural Affairs). Each building is described on its own page.
Visiting
