The front gate of Jonenji in Hagi, Yamaguchi, a Momoyama four-legged gate, is said to be a back gate of Hideyoshi's Jurakudai, given to Mori Terumoto and moved here.
The 1539 worship hall of Sumiyoshi Shrine in Shimonoseki, said to be a gift of Mori Motonari: a three-by-one-bay, gable-fronted hall roofed in cypress bark.
Daishoin in Hagi, Yamaguchi, Zen family temple of the Mori lords of Hagi, keeps five buildings rebuilt in 1750 and 1755, among them a large main hall and a gate.
The Worship Hall of Furukuma Shrine in Yamaguchi City, designated in 1949, fuses a two-storey gate with a worship room, its wings linking it to the Main Hall.
Designated in 1917, the Main Hall of Furukuma Shrine in Yamaguchi City carries carved struts of pine, bamboo and plum, held to be the oldest surviving in Japan.
An 1871 stone lighthouse on the cliffs of Mutsurejima off Shimonoseki, built under R. H. Brunton and made an Important Cultural Property in 2020. It still works.
