Tenonji Temple
Tenonji Temple (天恩寺) in Katayosecho, Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture, has an early Muromachi Buddha hall and a late Muromachi main gate, both designated as an Important Cultural Property on May 27, 1907 (Agency for Cultural Affairs). That date is the date of designation under the former law.

The Two Buildings
The Buddha hall is three bays square, single-storey under a hip-and-gable cypress-bark roof. The main gate is a single-bay yakuimon with a gabled roof of thin wooden shingles (Agency for Cultural Affairs). The Agency record has no commentary; the structure and date set out what was designated. Each building is described on its own page.
