A Gable End with Decorative Timber Framing

The station building of the former Mino Station on the Meitetsu Minomachi Line was built in 1923 as Shin-Minomachi Station of the Mino Electric Tramway, a terminus-type station (Agency for Cultural Affairs). The platforms adjoin the south side, and the waiting room opens through the east gable end.

It is gabled and clad in clapboard, and the east gable, which forms the front, shows its timber frame as decoration (Agency for Cultural Affairs). The line closed in 1999, but the Agency notes that the building is still a local landmark.
