A Stone and Brick Wall Following the Ground
The Former Shigetomi Shimazu Family Villa Stone Wall (旧重富島津家別邸石塀) is a late Meiji stone and brick wall at the former Shigetomi Shimazu villa in Shimizucho, Kagoshima City, Kagoshima Prefecture, which in 2014 was registered as a Registered Tangible Cultural Property.
The Agency for Cultural Affairs records a tiled coping and a total length of 24 metres, registered for its contribution to the historic landscape.
The Agency describes it running south, with bends, from the southeast corner of the main house's audience hall.
Structure
According to the Agency, dressed welded tuff laid in level courses is topped by a brick wall in English bond, capped with pantiles.
