Fujiya Hotel
The Fujiya Hotel (富士屋ホテル) in Miyanoshita, Hakone Town, Ashigarashimo District, Kanagawa Prefecture, has seven buildings, from the Airy of 1884 to the Hanagoten of 1936, that were registered as Registered Tangible Cultural Properties on December 12, 1997 (Agency for Cultural Affairs). All seven are owned by Fujiya Hotel Co., Ltd.

According to Fujiya Hotel, the hotel opened on July 15, 1878, and reopened on July 15, 2020, after major renovation.
The Seven Buildings
The main building of 1891, designed with foreign guests in mind, is Western in style with Japanese touches, a cusped-gable porch and octagonal bays. Buildings No. 1 and No. 2 of 1906, the Comfy Lodge and the Restful Cottage, are matching guest wings, and the Airy of 1884, from the hotel's earliest years, was moved to its present site in 1935 (Agency for Cultural Affairs).
The dining hall of 1930 has the two-tier Shotenkaku tower and shoin-style interiors, and the Hanagoten of 1936 is a Japanese-style concrete guest wing designed by the owner, Yamaguchi Shozo. The Kikkaso of 1895 was an imperial villa built for a princess to designs by the Imperial Household Ministry and later became an annex (Agency for Cultural Affairs). Each building is described on its own page.
Staying and Dining
The seven buildings are in use as part of the hotel. In its 2025 release, Fujiya Hotel presents rooms in the main building, the Western wings and the Hanagoten, and meals in the former imperial villa, the Kikkaso.
