Granite Beams under the Track

The Iga Railway Ota No. 2 Culvert lies in farmland south-west of Iga-Ueno Station. It is 8.0 metres long and 1.8 metres wide and high, and has an unusual structure: 23 granite beams about one shaku (30.3 cm) square laid side by side on stone piers to carry the track (Agency for Cultural Affairs).
