A Guest Wing on a Tortoiseshell Stone Base
The Kunimi Furusato Exhibition Hall Training Hall (Former Arinaga Residence Detached House) (国見ふるさと展示館研修所（旧有永邸離れ）) is a mid-Meiji two-storey timber detached house at the former Arinaga residence in Kibe, Kunimi-machi, Kunisaki City, Oita Prefecture, which in 2000 was registered as a Registered Tangible Cultural Property.
The Agency for Cultural Affairs records a tiled roof and a building area of 186 square metres, owned by Kunisaki City and registered for its contribution to the historic landscape.
The Agency places it southeast of the main house, linked by a corridor from the guest bath at the main house's southeast corner.
Structure
According to the Agency, it is a two-storey hipped building running north to south, pantiled, on a tortoiseshell-pattern stone base.
The ground floor is earthen, and the upper floor has three rooms of six, ten and eight mats.
What to Look For
Linked by a corridor from the guest bath, it reflects its role as a wing for entertaining visitors at a headman's house.
Its upstairs rooms are now used for training and meetings.
