The Two Structures

The two-storey guest-room wing lines its rooms along the river, the upper floor opening into a fifty-mat hall and the ground-floor veranda jutting out over the stone bank. The gate, set back a little north of the bridge, is a one-bay ridged gate with a delicate diamond-lattice transom, flanked by board fences with pierced circle-pattern transoms (Agency for Cultural Affairs). The Agency notes that the inn sets off the riverside scene. Each is described on its own page.
