Ibara Civic Hall
Ibara Civic Hall (井原市民会館) in Ibaracho, Ibara City, Okayama Prefecture, is a civic hall of 1971 in a block of civic and cultural buildings in the city centre; its main building and annex were registered as Registered Tangible Cultural Properties on August 7, 2023 (Agency for Cultural Affairs). It is owned by Ibara City.
According to the Agency's survey of modern architecture, it was designed by Kansai Architects (Murayama Morihiro), built by Matsumoto-gumi and refurbished with seismic strengthening in 2006.

The Two Buildings
The main building spreads fair-faced concrete of many textures, from different formwork and from tooling, across its exterior and interior, and raises a tall clock tower at the front whose crossing with the horizontal balconies and eaves is the key accent. The annex is a two-storey building behind the stage, with a rehearsal room upstairs and a ventilation tower on the south (Agency for Cultural Affairs). Each is described on its own page.
Visiting
It is owned by Ibara City (Agency for Cultural Affairs). According to the Okayama Prefecture Tourism Federation, the hall seats 972 and is about 10 minutes on foot from Ibara Station on the Ibara Railway, with parking for 44 cars.
