An Annex behind the Stage

The annex of Ibara Civic Hall is a two-storey reinforced-concrete building of 1971 behind the stage of the main hall (Agency for Cultural Affairs). The ground floor holds the electrical and plant rooms, and upstairs is a rehearsal room that was first a training room for young people and women.

A ventilation tower on the south side gives it a vertical accent, and its fair-faced concrete inside and out, shared with the main building, is handsome (Agency for Cultural Affairs).

Why It Was Registered

The Agency registered it as a model of design.
