Tsukayama Sake Brewery Garden in Nago City, Okinawa is a pond-viewing garden created in the early Showa era. Its slender pond is shaped like Okinawa Main Island, and Paleozoic limestone from northern Okinawa serves as accent stones. Registered as a National Monument for its scenic beauty in 2021, it blends Ryukyuan and mainland Japanese garden traditions within a working awamori distillery designated an Important Cultural Property of Japan.
Discover Hanandā in Yaese Town, Okinawa—a 30-meter natural bridge of Ryukyu limestone over the Shiramizu River, registered as a National Monument in 2021 and still used by villagers today.
