A hall for sacred music
The Kagura Hall (Kaguraden) of Tarobogu Aga Shrine was raised in the middle Meiji years, somewhere between 1883 and 1897, as a place for the sacred dance and music offered to the kami. It is a single-story timber building roofed in copper sheeting, about 21 square metres, sited among the cluster of halls that grew up around the summit sanctuary of Mount Akagami.

Kagura is ceremonial dance-music performed as an offering, and a hall built for it marks a shrine's investment in living ritual rather than fabric alone. That this one dates to the Meiji period reflects the wider rebuilding of the mountain precinct after centuries of disruption.
