A Three-Storey Store on Izu Stone

The Storehouse of the Sagisaka Family Residence (Tsuruya Honten) is joined to the north of the retirement house, running east-west: a three-storey fireproof storehouse under a gabled pantiled roof, entered from the east under a lean-to (Agency for Cultural Affairs).

It stands on coursed Izu stone; the plastered walls carry two drip courses, windows open in both gables on the second and third floors, and stepped-edge plastered doors close them in pairs (Agency for Cultural Affairs).
