The Former Yoshida Clinic (旧吉田医院) is a clinic built in the fireproof storehouse style of 1952 in Kawaramachi, Tottori City, Tottori Prefecture, and was registered as a Registered Tangible Cultural Property (structure) on June 24, 2021 (Agency for Cultural Affairs).

The Agency records a two-storey storehouse-style building with a basement and a tiled roof, covering 113 square metres; registration number 31-0272.

A Storehouse-Style Clinic Designed by Its Owner

The Former Yoshida Clinic in central Tottori City was designed by its owner (Agency for Cultural Affairs). It is built like a two-storey fireproof storehouse, its walls coated in white plaster, the lower walls finished in exposed aggregate with raised namako joints, and slatted mushiko windows under small eaves.

Inside, the ground floor was the surgery and the upper floor the patients' rooms (Agency for Cultural Affairs). A Western-style stairwell and window bars set out in an Asian manner are among the details that mix Eastern and Western styles in a folk-craft spirit.
