The Former Uchiyama Family Residence Back Gate (旧内山家住宅背戸の門, Kyū-Uchiyama-ke Jūtaku Sedo no Mon) is a wooden munamon gate built at the end of the Meiji era at 903 Miyao, Toyama City, Toyama Prefecture, and registered as a Registered Tangible Cultural Property in 1998.

The Former Uchiyama Family Residence Back Gate stands towards the southern end of the eastern boundary, south of the storehouse. It is a small munamon, carrying its tiled roof directly on two main posts. Sedo means the back door of a house.

A Working Gate That Is Also Part of the View

The Former Uchiyama Family Residence Back Gate was registered for its contribution to the historic landscape.

According to the Agency for Cultural Affairs, it was built, like the east gate, to reach the orchards and fields east of the estate. At the same time, together with the Sannyūan tea room and other features, it serves as an accent in the large garden. It is a working gate that also belongs to the view.
