National Treasures of Gunma

The Former Tomioka Silk Mill in Gunma opened in 1872 as a state reeling mill. Its 140-metre reeling hall and two 104-metre cocoon warehouses are National Treasures.

At the Watanuki Kannonyama Tumulus in Takasaki, Gunma, an unlooted 6th-century chamber held grave goods linked to Baekje and China, now a National Treasure.

A Southern Song celadon vase of shimokabura form, a Japanese National Treasure with a smooth, crackle-free pale-blue glaze. Its kiln is still debated by scholars.
