A Riverside Rest House of the Daishoji Lords
The Enuma Shrine Choryutei (江沼神社長流亭) is a rest house of the lords of Daishoji of 1709 in Daishoji Hachikenmichi, Kaga City, Ishikawa Prefecture, and was designated an Important Cultural Property on January 30, 1934 (Agency for Cultural Affairs).

The Agency records a single-storey building 9.5 by 8.4 metres under a hipped roof of wooden shingles, with an entrance on the south and an earthen-floored eave on the east; designation number 00937.
The 1934 date in the Agency record is that of its designation under the former law.
A Rest House for Tea and Fishing
According to Kaga City tourism, the Choryutei was built beside the river as a rest house by Maeda Toshinao, the third lord of the Daishoji domain, and the lords took tea here and fished from its elbow-rest window.
According to Ishikawa Prefecture, Edo-period Daishoji was a castle town of samurai houses, merchant houses and temples centred on the domain residence with its garden and the Choryutei.
Why It Is an Important Cultural Property
The Agency record has no commentary; the date of 1709 and its hipped, shingled form set out what was designated.
