A Shingon Hall at the Head of a Valley Fan
The Senkoin Temple Main Hall (千光院本堂) is the main hall of a Shingon temple of the early Showa period in Donaricho Yoshida, Awa City, Tokushima Prefecture, and was registered as a Registered Tangible Cultural Property (structure) on February 17, 2022 (Agency for Cultural Affairs).
The Agency records a single-storey timber building with a tiled roof, partly sheet-metal, and a building area of 119 square metres; registration number 36-0216.
A Gabled Hall with Porch and Side Aisles
The Senkoin Temple Main Hall is the main hall of a Shingon temple at the head of the alluvial fan of the Miyagochidani River (Agency for Cultural Affairs). It is three bays by four, with a gabled roof of full tiles and its entrance on the long side, a porch at the front, lean-to aisles on both sides and a projection at the back.
Inside is a single large outer sanctuary with a batten ceiling (Agency for Cultural Affairs). Beyond it, the inner sanctuary and an innermost sanctuary project to the rear.

The Agency notes that it is also used for events and forms part of the historic landscape of the area, and registered it for its contribution to the historic landscape.
