The Meitetsu Mikawa Line Former Mikawa-Hirose Station Building (名鉄三河線旧三河広瀬駅駅舎) is a structure of 1927 at a former station on the Meitetsu Mikawa Line in Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture, and it was registered as a Registered Tangible Cultural Property on October 2, 2007, under registration number 23-0257. The Agency for Cultural Affairs records it as a single-storey timber building with a sheet-metal roof and a building area of 50 square metres.
Why It Was Registered
The Meitetsu Mikawa Line Former Mikawa-Hirose Station Building was registered as contributing to the historic landscape of the country. According to the Agency, it is a single-storey gabled timber building 11 metres by 4.4 metres with a sheet-metal roof, entered on the long side.
The eastern half is an open waiting room with wide openings, and the western half the staff office. The exterior is clad in clapboard, with a distinctive base of thick battens.
