The Meitetsu Mikawa Line Former Mikawa-Hirose Station Platform (名鉄三河線旧三河広瀬駅プラットホーム) is a structure of 1927 at a former station on the Meitetsu Mikawa Line in Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture, and it was registered as a Registered Tangible Cultural Property on October 2, 2007, under registration number 23-0258. The Agency for Cultural Affairs records it as a stone and concrete structure with an area of 103 square metres, 40 metres long, 2.6 metres wide and 0.6 metres high.
Why It Was Registered
The Meitetsu Mikawa Line Former Mikawa-Hirose Station Platform was registered as contributing to the historic landscape of the country. According to the Agency, it is a long east-west stone structure about 10 metres north of the station building, raised with concrete.
Its plan curves gently along the adjacent Yahagi River, and both its north and south faces show granite laid in regular courses.

Note too the regular granite coursing on its faces and the concrete added on top. Set against the riverside scenery, it recalls the railway that once ran through these hills.
