A 3.6-metre yakuimon
The Tomioka City Social Education Center Main Gate (富岡市社会教育館正門) is a timber Yakuimon gate in Ichinomiya, Tomioka City, Gunma Prefecture, completed in 1936 and registered as a Registered Tangible Cultural Property on July 8, 2008. It was the front gate of the Tōgoku Keishin Dōjō, a training hall funded by Gunma residents after Emperor Showa visited Nukisaki Shrine in 1934.
The gate stands southwest of the carriage porch of the entrance and office building. It is a single-bay yakuimon with a wall extending from each side and a small wicket door. At 3.6 metres wide, it is large for a gate of one bay.
The roof is a simple gable (Kirizuma-zukuri) of Sangawara-buki pantiles with sheet iron around the eaves, the same finish used on the other four structures registered the same day.
A frame kept to the essentials

Two main posts carry a crossbeam, the kabuki, and a longitudinal beam, the obari. Short struts on the obari hold up the ridge.
