Carvings and a Cusped Gable

The changing-room building of Funaoka Onsen, a public bath at Murasakino in Kita Ward, Kyoto, dates from 1923 and was one of the buildings put up as the bath of the Funaokaro, a restaurant inn (Agency for Cultural Affairs). Of two storeys in timber, it has the entrance and the bandai attendant's seat at the front of the ground floor, the changing room behind, and 2 Japanese-style rooms upstairs.
