A Large Storehouse with Namako Walls
The Yutoya Ryokan Storehouse (ゆとうや旅館土蔵) is a large clay-walled storehouse in the south-west corner of the site of 1932 in Kinosakicho Yushima, Toyooka City, Hyogo Prefecture, and was registered as a Registered Tangible Cultural Property (structure) on August 4, 2015 (Agency for Cultural Affairs).
The Agency records a two-storey clay-walled storehouse with a tiled roof and a building area of 75 square metres; registration number 28-0612.
Namako Tiles and Mock-Stone Mortar
The storehouse of Yutoya Ryokan is a large clay-walled storehouse of five bays by four in the south-west corner of the site, two storeys high with a gabled roof of plain tiles (Agency for Cultural Affairs).
The walls are plastered; the base is namako tiling on the north and west sides and mortar scored to look like stone on the others, and the eaves are plastered over (Agency for Cultural Affairs). Inside, a column runs through both floors at the centre, and the roof rests on rising beams over a heavy main beam.
