The Agency records a single-storey timber shelter of 205 square metres roofed in sheet iron, on a concrete platform 94 metres long; registration number 22-0163.
A Shelter Framed with Old Rails
The up platform is an island platform facing the station building to the south (Agency for Cultural Affairs). Toward the west end of the 94-metre platform stands a shelter 40 metres long and 2.6 metres deep, with a modified truss roof; some posts and beams are reused old rails.
According to the railway, the oldest of these rails was rolled in 1911 by the Carnegie Steel Company in the United States, and others were made at the Yawata Steel Works in August 1929.
Why It Was Registered
It was registered under the criterion of contributing to the historic landscape of the country (Agency for Cultural Affairs). The Agency notes that it preserves the building techniques of the line's opening.
